Minister of Defense Holds Meeting in Midi

MIDI, Hajjah Governorate – Today, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Dr. Mohsen Al-Dhaeri convened a significant meeting with the leadership of the Fifth Military Region, along with commanders of brigades, units, and divisions.

Key Attendees and Messages

The meeting, held in Midi, included prominent figures such as Hajjah Governor Major General Abdul Karim Al-Sanini, Chief of Logistics Support Authority Major General Abdulaziz Al-Faqih, Fifth Military Region Commander Major General Yahya Salah, and Hajjah Security Director Brigadier General Mishal Shalaan. During the gathering, the Minister conveyed greetings from the political leadership, represented by President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, members of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the government.

Addressing Military Needs

Minister Al-Dhaeri listened attentively to the military leaders’ input regarding their needs. He emphasized that both political and military leadership remain committed to fulfilling all requirements and necessities for the troops.

Commending Military Readiness

The Minister praised the forces stationed in the Fifth Military Region, describing them as exemplary representatives of the armed forces. He expressed pride in the morale, preparation, and readiness he observed across various levels.

Commitment to National Defense

Lieutenant General Al-Dhaeri reaffirmed that steadfastness and vigilance in defending the homeland against Houthi militia threats represent the highest aspirations of every free citizen in Yemen. He urged for increased unity, collaboration, training, and readiness to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and to eliminate the oppressive Houthi regime, which receives support from the Iranian government.

Gratitude for International Support

The Minister also expressed gratitude to the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for their ongoing support and assistance to Yemen on multiple fronts.

Boosting Morale Among Troops

In response, the Commander of the Fifth Military Region welcomed Minister Al-Dhaeri and his accompanying delegation. He noted that such visits significantly boost morale and strengthen the resolve of the brave fighters across various battlefields.


This meeting underscores the ongoing commitment of Yemen’s military leadership to enhance operational readiness and support for the armed forces in their efforts to restore peace and stability in the region.
