Doha Meeting Focuses on Strengthening Ties
Today, Dr. Abdul Salam Hamid, the Minister of Transport, met with Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia, in Doha, Qatar. The meeting aimed to enhance collaboration and coordination in the aviation sector between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
Acknowledging Support for Yemen
During the meeting, which took place alongside the ICAO Facilitation Conference (FALC 2025), Minister Hamid expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support for Yemen across various sectors. He emphasized the importance of this partnership in fostering growth and development in Yemen’s aviation industry.
Saudi Authority’s Commitment to Yemen’s Aviation Sector
In response, Al-Duailej reaffirmed the Saudi Authority’s readiness to provide comprehensive support to boost Yemen’s aviation activities. He highlighted the existence of joint coordination committees between the two countries’ aviation authorities, which will facilitate collaboration and ensure effective implementation of initiatives.
Key Attendees at the Meeting
The meeting also included Captain Saleh Suleiman Bin Nahid, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology in Yemen, and Ali Rajab, the Deputy President of the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation. Their presence underscored the commitment of both nations to work together in advancing the aviation sector.
This meeting marks a significant step towards strengthening aviation ties between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, paving the way for future cooperation and development in the industry.
