The Minister of Justice approves a new regulation for forensic doctors to enhance the efficiency of forensic medicine.

Justice Minister Approves New Forensic Doctors Regulation

In a significant move to enhance the forensic medical field, Justice Minister and Chairman of the National Forensic Medicine Center, Judge Badr Al-Aradah, has approved a new regulation for forensic doctors. This regulation addresses compensation for autopsies, examinations, and travel to courts and prosecution offices.

Increased Compensation for Forensic Doctors

During today’s council meeting, members agreed to raise the travel allowance for forensic doctors. Additionally, they approved a reward for autopsy and examination fees. The council also introduced a scholarship for students pursuing a master’s degree in professional forensic medicine.

Justice Minister Al-Aradah emphasized that this increase recognizes the hard work of forensic doctors. He noted the rising number of requests from judicial authorities and the shortage of specialized medical personnel in this field. The council aims to encourage students to enroll in forensic medicine studies through these initiatives.

Formation of a Special Tender Committee

The meeting also established a special tender committee for the construction of an X-ray room. The technical committee will discuss project details and present its findings at the next council meeting for approval.

Review of Achievements in Forensic Medicine

The council reviewed the achievement report for the first half of 2025. Forensic doctors handled 444 cases, completing 90% of them. In the areas of toxicology and forensic evidence, they successfully managed 127 cases, achieving a 100% completion rate.

This proactive approach by the Justice Ministry aims to strengthen the forensic medical field and improve the quality of services provided to the judicial system.
