Yemen Faces Critical Crossroads: A Call for Unity

Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Speaks Out

Yemen stands at one of the most perilous junctures in its modern history. Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Iryani, emphasized that the fate of the nation hangs in the balance. Yemen can either emerge as a free and independent country or remain a hostage to an Iranian-backed militia that perpetuates violence and destruction. This militia exploits Yemen’s resources to further a Persian agenda, viewing the Yemeni people merely as fuel for its expansionist and sectarian wars.

Threats to National Existence

In a recent press statement, Al-Iryani highlighted the grave threat posed by the Houthi militia’s control over parts of Yemen. He noted that their actions serve as an arm of Iran, undermining the state and destabilizing both the region and the world. This situation leads to increased devastation in Yemen, the collapse of state structures, and the erosion of basic life necessities. Furthermore, it poses a significant risk to international interests.

The Human Cost of Conflict

Al-Iryani pointed out that Yemen cannot remain captive to this terrorist faction, which has sold the nation to Iranian occupiers while inflicting suffering on its people. Yemenis face daily violence not only from ballistic missiles, drones, sniper fire, and landmines but also from starvation, displacement, and the destruction of their dreams. The militia systematically denies them their right to live.

A Battle for Identity and Existence

The minister articulated that the current struggle represents a battle for existence and identity. It pits the authentic Yemen against an alien sectarian project that seeks to erase Yemeni identity, history, and future. He asserted that this fight is not a choice but a necessity. Yemenis must unite to end this dark chapter or risk watching their homeland disintegrate, their people perish, and their history be obliterated.

Urgent Call for Unity

Al-Iryani stressed that the time has come for Yemenis to stand together against this common enemy. The situation allows no room for division or complacency. Each day under the control of the insurgents results in more bloodshed, poverty, ignorance, oppression, and enslavement.

He urged all Yemenis, national leaders, and conscientious citizens to rise above their differences and unite behind the Presidential Leadership Council, led by President Rashad Al-Alimi and his fellow council members. The goal is clear and non-negotiable: “Restore Yemen and sever Iran’s influence.”

A Race Against Time

In closing, Al-Iryani warned that time is running out, and procrastination will only lead to further devastation. He stated, “We must unite now, or we risk losing Yemen forever.”

This urgent message resonates as Yemen grapples with its future, calling for collective action to reclaim sovereignty and restore peace.
