The Minister of Information stated that the Houthis have turned Yemen into a battleground and a bargaining chip for Iran, masking failures with false “victories.”

Houthi Militia Misleads Followers After Israeli Strike on Hodeidah Port
Minister’s Statement on Houthi Claims
The Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, criticized the Iranian-backed Houthi militia for misleading its followers following an Israeli strike on Hodeidah Port. This attack marks the first of its kind conducted by Israeli vessels in the Red Sea.
Houthi Propaganda and Misrepresentation
In a recent press statement, Al-Eryani noted that the Houthi propaganda machine quickly branded the strike as a "victory." He pointed out that the so-called experts on "Al-Masirah" channel attempted to convince the public that Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi had established new rules of engagement and deterrence in the region.
Impact of Houthi Actions on Yemen
Al-Eryani emphasized that the Houthi militia has turned the Red Sea into a battleground for regional and international conflicts. Their actions have led to the violation of Yemen’s airspace and waters, resulting in significant damage to the country’s infrastructure and economy. He stated that the militia now seeks to sell a false narrative of heroism to its followers. Furthermore, they have invited obscure analysts on "Al-Masirah" to explain how Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi has become the "police officer of the Red Sea."
Iran’s Influence and Yemen’s Struggles
The minister asserted that the only achievement of Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi and his militia has been to turn Yemen into a bargaining chip for Iran. They have transformed the country’s airports and ports into smuggling routes for missiles, drones, and Iranian Revolutionary Guard experts, thereby perpetuating proxy wars. Al-Eryani lamented that the militia has devastated Yemen’s economy and infrastructure, leaving its citizens trapped in hunger, poverty, and destruction.
Houthi Tactics and Accountability
Al-Eryani remarked, "It is no surprise; this has been the Houthi militia’s modus operandi since its inception: creating crises, inviting interventions, and then proclaiming victory after every setback." He reiterated that the only rules of engagement established by the Houthi militia reveal their role as a mere tool of Iran. They are a terrorist group that thrives on the suffering of Yemenis and bears primary responsibility for the violation of the country’s airspace and waters, as well as the loss of its resources and sovereignty.
