The Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism reports that a U.S. strike killed 70 Houthis, including Iranian leaders and experts.

U.S. Airstrike Eliminates Key Houthi Leaders in Yemen

Today, a precise U.S. airstrike targeted a gathering of Houthi militants in the coastal region of Al-Hudaydah, resulting in the deaths of 70 individuals. Among the deceased were prominent field leaders and experts from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, according to Yemen’s Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani.

Targeting Terrorist Operations

Al-Eryani stated that reliable field sources confirmed the airstrike aimed at a location used for planning terrorist attacks against commercial vessels and oil tankers in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden. This activity poses a significant threat to international shipping routes and global trade.

In the past two weeks, a series of focused airstrikes have targeted Houthi military facilities, fortifications, weapon depots, and defensive systems across several provinces. These operations have achieved their objectives with precision, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of terrorist operatives, including leaders from the first, second, and third tiers of the Houthi organization.

Impact on Houthi Morale

Al-Eryani emphasized that recent U.S. military operations have caused considerable disruption within Houthi ranks. Despite the group’s attempts to downplay their human losses and minimize the impact of the airstrikes through media blackouts and restrictions on publishing names and images of the deceased, the effects are evident. He asserted that these operations mark a significant shift in the confrontation with the Houthi militia, sending a clear message that any threat to regional security and maritime routes will face a decisive response.

Conclusion

The U.S. airstrike represents a critical moment in the ongoing conflict in Yemen, highlighting the international community’s commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring the safety of vital shipping lanes. As the situation evolves, the focus remains on maintaining security and stability in the region.
