Aden, Yemen – Today, the Minister of Defense and Head of the High Security Committee, Major General Taher Al-Aqeeli, convened a meeting in the temporary capital of Aden. The meeting focused on the latest developments in security and military conditions across various provinces, as well as necessary measures to enhance coordination between military and security institutions.
During the meeting, Major General Al-Aqeeli emphasized the urgent need to activate a joint military and security operations room. This initiative aims to unify efforts and improve response efficiency to various security challenges. The committee also highlighted the importance of teamwork to elevate performance across all units.
The committee discussed the implications of an Iranian Revolutionary Guard aircraft landing at Sana’a Airport, which is under the control of Houthi militias. The committee condemned this act as a blatant violation of Yemeni sovereignty. They asserted that it represents a continuation of Iranian interventions that bolster militia capabilities and heighten security threats to Yemen and the region. Furthermore, they warned that the international community must not overlook such violations, as their repercussions will affect everyone.
In another context, the meeting confirmed the readiness of the armed forces to firmly confront any hostile activities or movements by Houthi militias. The committee stressed the necessity of maintaining high vigilance and combat readiness across various military and security units to ensure effective responses to any emerging situations.
Additionally, the High Security Committee praised the heroism displayed by the armed forces on multiple fronts.
