The meteorological department forecasts scattered rain, mild weather in coastal areas, and cooler temperatures in mountainous regions.

Weather Forecast: Coastal and Mountain Regions to Experience Varied Conditions

The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center predicts a mix of weather conditions across various regions. Coastal areas can expect mild weather, with clear skies transitioning to partly cloudy conditions. There is a possibility of scattered rain along parts of the eastern and western coasts. Additionally, winds will pick up in the southwestern and western coasts, reaching speeds of 20 to 30 knots, which may stir up dust and sand.

Mountainous Areas: Cooler Temperatures and Rain

In the mountainous regions, the forecast indicates partly cloudy weather that will trend towards cooler temperatures during the night and early morning. Scattered rain, accompanied by thunder, may occur during the afternoon and evening hours. Meanwhile, desert and plateau areas will likely experience clear and relatively hot weather, with dusty conditions and winds that could raise dust and sand.

Temperature Variations Across Regions

The center anticipates temperature variations depending on the region. Coastal cities like Aden and Hodeidah will enjoy moderate temperatures, while mountainous areas such as Sana’a and Dhamar will experience significantly cooler conditions. Residents are advised to avoid valleys during rainfall and to take precautions against the effects of strong winds, particularly those with respiratory conditions.

Sea Conditions: Caution Advised for Mariners

The sea conditions forecast shows a mix of light to moderate waves in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden, while the Red Sea may experience rough waves. The center warns of increased wind activity around Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea, urging fishermen and sea-goers to prioritize their safety.

As weather conditions fluctuate across the regions, residents should stay informed and exercise caution, especially during rain and windy conditions. The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
