The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s weather prediction center announced today, Thursday, that the coastal regions will experience mostly clear to partly cloudy weather with moderate temperatures. There is a possibility of light scattered rain in Socotra Archipelago, southern and southwestern coasts, and nearby areas. Winds will strengthen along the southern and western coasts, as well as on Meyun Island and Socotra Archipelago.
The center’s daily report indicates that the mountainous areas will face dry and somewhat dusty conditions. Expect moderate temperatures during the day, but nights will be very cold to extremely cold, with a chance of fog forming in some regions. Meanwhile, the desert and plateau areas will remain clear, dry, and relatively dusty, with moderate daytime temperatures and cold to very cold nights, accompanied by active winds stirring up dust.

The center urges citizens, particularly the elderly and children in mountainous and desert areas, to take necessary precautions against low nighttime temperatures. Farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers should be aware of the severe cold’s impact on the highlands. Additionally, individuals with respiratory conditions and drivers should remain cautious due to widespread dust.
The center also warns fishermen and sea-goers along the southern and southwestern coasts, Bab al-Mandab, Meyun Island, and southern Socotra Archipelago about potential rough sea conditions.
