The Meteorological Center and Early Warning Authority of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology predicts that the weather in coastal areas and nearby regions will be humid and hot during the day, while remaining mild at night and in the early morning. The forecast includes partially cloudy skies and a chance of scattered rain in the Socotra Archipelago, along with light to moderate winds that may strengthen along the southern and western coasts and Bab al-Mandab.
The center’s daily weather report indicates that the mountainous areas will experience dry weather, ranging from clear to partially cloudy skies. Daytime temperatures will be moderate, while nights will be relatively cool to cold. In desert and plateau regions, the weather will generally remain dry and clear to partially cloudy, with hot conditions during the day and mild temperatures at night. Moderate to active winds may stir up dust and sand in these areas.
The expected maximum temperatures include 35 degrees Celsius in Al-Ghaydah and Lahij, 34 degrees in Aden, Socotra, Al-Makha, and Zanzibar, and 33 degrees in Al-Hudaydah and Marib. Meanwhile, Sana’a will record 25 degrees, and Taiz will reach 28 degrees Celsius.
The center advises residents in mountainous areas to take necessary precautions against the cold weather during nighttime and early morning hours. It recommends wearing warm clothing, especially for children, school students, the elderly, and those working outdoors.
In the marine forecast, the center anticipates light to moderate waves across most coasts and regional waters. However, it warns sea-goers and fishermen in the southwestern coastal areas, Bab al-Mandab, and the Red Sea of potential disturbances and strong winds.
