ADEN, Yemen – Dr. Qassem Baheeb, the Minister of Public Health and Population, chaired a crucial meeting today in Aden. The gathering focused on reviewing and finalizing the terms of reference for the Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (DANA) project in its fifth phase. This initiative receives funding from the German Development Bank and is implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

Objectives and Importance of the DANA Project

The meeting aimed to unify technical and planning concepts across various sectors of the Ministry of Health. Participants discussed the study’s objectives, necessary data components, and the significance of this assessment for effective planning. The evaluation will help prioritize needs based on the actual requirements of health sectors in targeted areas.

He noted that the current phase specifically targets Sheikh Othman District in Aden, expressing hope for the project’s expansion to include other districts and areas in need.
