Celebrating the Legacy of Heroism: Graduation Ceremony for the Third Aasifa Brigade

Honoring the Memory of a National Hero

Today, the Third Aasifa Brigade celebrated the graduation of a new cohort named after the heroic martyr, Major General Thabit Jawas. This event coincided with the Yemeni people’s festivities marking the anniversaries of the Yemeni Revolutions on September 26, October 14, and November 30.

Commendations from Leadership

Brigade Commander Major General Mohammed Al-Ajabi congratulated the graduates on their achievements and the significance of the Yemeni revolutionary holidays. He emphasized that this new group represents a strong reinforcement and fresh blood for the armed forces. Al-Ajabi stated that these graduates exemplify the dedicated protectors of the glorious Yemeni revolution.

Remembering a National Hero

Al-Ajabi highlighted the bravery of Major General Thabit Jawas, whose efforts played a crucial role in liberating Yemen from the Houthi militia leader in the Maran cave. He recalled Jawas’s heroic stances in defense of the revolution, the republic, and national gains while facing the Iranian-backed Houthi militia. Al-Ajabi asserted that Jawas’s legacy and courageous actions will remain etched in the memories of his comrades and the Yemeni people, serving as a source of pride for the armed forces and all Yemenis.

Confronting Current Challenges

The commander noted that the armed forces currently face the Houthi militia, which, with support from the Iranian regime and regressive forces, seeks to turn back the clock to a time of oppression and backwardness. He reaffirmed the commitment to follow in the footsteps of honorable fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Celebrating National Awareness

Al-Ajabi stressed that the celebrations by the armed forces and the Yemeni people reflect a deep awareness of freedom and equality among all citizens, distancing themselves from theories of divine right and the desire to dominate the nation’s resources.

Artistic Tributes and Cultural Expressions

The ceremony featured numerous speeches, poetic recitations, and artistic performances that conveyed the spirit of the national revolution celebrations, showcasing the unity and resilience of the Yemeni people.

This graduation not only honors the memory of a national hero but also reinforces the commitment of the Yemeni armed forces to protect the nation’s sovereignty and uphold the values of freedom and equality.
