Governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, met today with a group of sheikhs, dignitaries, and social figures from the Al-Shamayatain district. This meeting aimed to enhance national cohesion and unify the internal front against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.
During the meeting, Governor Shamsan listened to a briefing on preparations to support the front lines and strengthen internal unity. He praised the historical and brotherly support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Shamsan acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the Yemeni people in their efforts to restore their state and confront the threat posed by Iranian-backed terrorist militias.
Shamsan emphasized that the security of the governorate is a red line that cannot be compromised. He stated that the dignity of its citizens, the blood of its martyrs, and their sacrifices are national constants that cannot be relinquished. He highlighted Taiz’s historical role in preserving the state and its representation as a model for struggle, freedom, coexistence, and social peace. Additionally, he noted that Taiz serves as a strategic reservoir for national competencies and talents.
The governor asserted that Taiz will remain steadfast and will not allow internal disputes to become a vulnerability for enemies to exploit. He pointed out that the meeting reflects unity and readiness to protect the governorate, uphold its dignity, and honor the sacrifices of martyrs and the wounded.
In response, the sheikhs and dignitaries of Al-Shamayatain district expressed their full support for the local authority and state institutions. They affirmed their readiness to continue making sacrifices to enhance security and stability and to complete the liberation of the governorate.
