Governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, met today with several sheikhs, dignitaries, and social figures from the Al-Shamayatayn district. This meeting aimed to strengthen national unity and consolidate the internal front against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.
During the meeting, Governor Shamsan listened to a briefing on preparations to support the frontlines and enhance internal cohesion. He praised the historical and brotherly support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, highlighting its commitment to the Yemeni people in their quest to restore their state and confront the threat posed by Iranian-backed terrorist militias.
Shamsan emphasized that the security of the province is a red line that cannot be compromised. He stated that the dignity of its citizens, the blood of its martyrs, and their sacrifices represent national constants that must not be undermined. He commended the historical role of Taiz in preserving the state and its representation as a model of struggle, freedom, coexistence, and social peace, as well as a strategic reservoir of national competencies.
The governor asserted that Taiz will remain steadfast and will not allow internal disputes to become a vulnerability for adversaries. He noted that the meeting reflects unity and readiness to protect the province, uphold its dignity, and honor the sacrifices of martyrs and the wounded.
In response, the sheikhs and dignitaries of Al-Shamayatayn affirmed their full support for the local authority and state institutions. They expressed their readiness to continue making sacrifices to enhance security and stability and to complete the liberation of the province.
