On Sunday, Governor Nabil Shamsan visited several hospitals in Taiz to check on the health conditions of wounded armed forces personnel. His visit aimed to assess the level of medical care provided to them.
Accompanied by Dr. Ilan Abdul Haq, the Deputy Governor for Health Affairs, and Dr. Fahd Al-Nazari, the Director of the Public Health and Population Office in the province, Governor Shamsan listened to medical staff as they explained the health status of the wounded and the treatment services available to them.
Governor Shamsan emphasized that the wounded soldiers symbolize true sacrifice and valor. He stated that their contributions to defending Taiz, the Republic, and the state will always be appreciated and honored by the people of the province and the nation. He praised the heroic role these individuals played in the field and affirmed that their sacrifices will remain a badge of honor for the people of Taiz.
Shamsan remarked, “The province, given the immense sacrifices made by its sons, will continue its journey steadfastly and will remain resilient against any attempts to undermine it.” He asserted that the will of the people of Taiz is stronger than any efforts to diminish it. The governor reiterated the province’s commitment to restoring state institutions and reinforcing the republican system until every inch of its territory is liberated.
He added, “Honoring the wounded goes beyond mere words; it requires transforming our appreciation of their sacrifices into practical responsibilities. This ensures they receive the healthcare and treatment they deserve, alleviating their suffering and supporting their families.”
The governor directed all public and private hospitals and healthcare centers in the province to welcome all wounded individuals and provide them with complete medical care without any shortcomings. He stressed the importance of treating their needs as a humanitarian and national priority. Shamsan highlighted the necessity for health authorities to collaborate effectively to guarantee that the wounded receive the necessary treatment and that their health conditions are monitored continuously.
Shamsan urged the Health Office and relevant authorities to monitor the implementation of these directives and to coordinate among various health facilities. He emphasized the need for a swift response to the needs of the wounded, ensuring that no individual faces the consequences of their injuries without care or follow-up.
In response, the wounded soldiers expressed their appreciation for the governor’s visit and his concern for their conditions. They affirmed that the visit represents a moral support for them and embodies the official and public gratitude for those who sacrificed in defense of Taiz and the nation.
Governor Shamsan’s visit aligns with the ongoing commitment to address the needs of war casualties and enhance the care provided to them. He reiterated that those who have made sacrifices in defense of Taiz and the Republic will remain a top priority for local authorities, recognizing their sacrifices and safeguarding their right to care and attention.
