The governor of Saada takes the oath of office before the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.

New Governor of Saada Takes Oath of Office

On Thursday, Turkish Ahmed Mazhar bin Qumsha took the oath of office as the new governor of Saada province in a ceremony presided over by President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council.

President Alimi Congratulates New Governor

Following the oath, President Alimi met with the newly appointed governor, expressing his confidence in Mazhar’s ability to handle this crucial national responsibility. Saada, known for its strategic importance, has seen its residents play a vital role in resisting Iranian influence and restoring state institutions.

Acknowledging the Courage of Saada’s People

President Alimi praised the bravery and sacrifices of Saada’s residents in defending the republican system. He emphasized that the tribes of Saada have historically served as a safeguard for the Yemeni state, rather than a source of threat or division.

Saada’s Rich Heritage

The President highlighted Saada’s rich history, diverse tribes, scholars, and farmers, asserting that the province is far too significant to be overshadowed by armed groups or reduced to a single family or sectarian agenda.

Commitment to Rebuilding Saada

President Alimi reiterated the state’s commitment to rebuilding Saada. He outlined plans to open roads, enhance services, and compensate those affected by the conflict. He stressed that the youth of Saada belong in universities, farms, and factories, not on the front lines of war.

A Message to Saada’s Youth

Addressing the youth, President Alimi urged them not to let anyone steal their future. He asserted that Saada’s future lies in development, education, and stability, not in further loss of life.

Rejecting Violence and Embracing Peace

The President called on the people of Saada to ignore the rhetoric of militia leaders who promote violence while neglecting messages of peace, development, and job opportunities. He emphasized that Yemenis are no longer swayed by empty slogans but are focused on achieving a dignified life.

Encouraging Community Engagement

President Alimi instructed the new governor to establish communication channels with all social components. He urged the governor to maintain strong ties with tribal leaders, national figures, youth, women, and skilled professionals. This engagement will be crucial for the upcoming phase of restoring state institutions, as Saada will play a central role in Yemen’s future.

Conclusion

The appointment of Turkish Ahmed Mazhar bin Qumsha as the governor of Saada marks a significant step towards stability and development in the region. With a clear vision for rebuilding and a commitment to community engagement, the new governor aims to foster a brighter future for all residents of Saada.
