Yemen and Bahrain Discuss Current Affairs
Ministerial Meeting at the Regional Security Forum
On December 7, 2024, Yemen’s Foreign Minister Dr. Shai’a Al-Zandani met with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani. The two leaders discussed the latest developments in Yemen and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 20th Regional Security Forum, known as the Manama Dialogue.
Greetings from Yemen’s Leadership
During the meeting, Minister Al-Zandani conveyed greetings from Yemen’s President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He emphasized the strong and enduring brotherly ties between Yemen and Bahrain, highlighting Bahrain’s unwavering support for Yemen through various stages of its challenges.
Bahrain’s Continued Support for Yemen
Minister Al-Zayani reaffirmed Bahrain’s steadfast support for Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council. He expressed Bahrain’s commitment to regional and international efforts aimed at achieving a political solution that ends the conflict and fosters peace and stability in Yemen.

The meeting also included several key officials: Dr. Ali Al-Ahmadi, Yemen’s Ambassador to Bahrain; Ambassador Adel Sheikh, Deputy Head of the Minister’s Office; and Advisor Alaa Afara, who oversees the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula affairs at the Ministry.
This meeting underscores the collaborative spirit between Yemen and Bahrain, as both nations strive for stability and peace in the region.
