Deputy Minister of Technical Education Discusses 2025 Plans with Skills Development Fund

In a significant meeting held today in Aden, the Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Abdul-Rabih Al-Mahouli, engaged in discussions with the Chairman of the Skills Development Fund, Issam Qasim, and the Executive Director of the Fund, Engineer Katbi Omar. The focus of the meeting was on the Fund’s activity plans for 2025 and strategies to enhance collaboration in training programs aimed at developing the national workforce.

Empowering Youth Through Training Programs

During the meeting, which included ministry officials, participants explored ways to empower youth through various training and rehabilitation programs. They emphasized the need to align training outcomes with market demands based on private sector standards. Additionally, they discussed strategies for supporting international organizations in training initiatives and fostering partnerships.

Importance of Enhanced Training Activities

Al-Mahouli stressed the critical role of intensifying training activities targeted at youth in technical and vocational fields. He highlighted the necessity of improving the efficiency of training institutions and enhancing the capabilities of educational staff. Furthermore, he called for expanding partnerships with the private sector to bolster the training process.

Skills Development Fund’s 2025 Vision

Engineer Katbi presented the Skills Development Fund’s plan for 2025, which aims to ensure the sustainability of vocational training programs and bring about a qualitative shift in the rehabilitation of national personnel. He explained that the plan includes implementing joint activities with technical institutes and the private sector to improve training quality and prepare youth to meet labor market requirements.

This proactive approach reflects a commitment to enhancing vocational education and training in Yemen, ensuring that the workforce is well-equipped to meet the challenges of a dynamic job market.
