In a significant meeting held today in the temporary capital of Aden, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Salem Al-Wali, engaged with the Indian Ambassador to Yemen, Suhail Ijaz Khan. The two officials explored ways to strengthen economic and trade relations between their nations.

Opening a Commercial Office
Al-Wali also advocated for the establishment of an Indian commercial office in Aden. This initiative would streamline communication and bolster trade collaboration, ultimately benefiting both nations. He emphasized the necessity of creating a conducive environment for investors and entrepreneurs.

The Deputy Minister reaffirmed the government’s dedication to improving the trade balance between Yemen and India. Recently, India arranged a shipment of medicines and medical equipment to assist Yemen’s Ministry of Health. He also noted the Indian government’s efforts to facilitate opportunities for Yemeni traders and entrepreneurs, including organizing regular exhibitions.
