The Chief of General Staff inaugurates the 2025 training and combat year at the First Reserve Brigade.

Military Leadership Launches 2025 Training Year

Today, Major General Sager bin Aziz, Chief of General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, inaugurated the 2025 training and combat year. The event also celebrated the graduation of the fourth Special Forces course from the First Reserve Brigade.

Acknowledging Achievements and Celebrating Ramadan

During the ceremony, Major General bin Aziz conveyed greetings from political and military leadership to the officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the First Reserve Brigade, as well as to the graduates. He extended heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of Ramadan, recognizing the brigade’s efforts in preparing its members for their combat and military duties with professionalism and skill.

Emphasizing the Importance of Training

Major General bin Aziz highlighted the critical role of training and qualification in the national struggle of the Yemeni people. He stated that these efforts are essential for restoring the nation’s sovereignty, freedom, and dignity. He firmly asserted that peace, security, and stability in Yemen and the region will only be achieved by defeating the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.

Readiness and Commitment from the First Reserve Brigade

Brigadier General Dars Shaya, Commander of the First Reserve Brigade, affirmed the brigade’s readiness and high level of commitment to execute all assigned orders and tasks efficiently. His remarks underscored the brigade’s dedication to operational excellence.

Tactical Combat Exercise Demonstrates Skills

The event featured a tactical combat exercise conducted by brigade members and course graduates. This demonstration showcased the advanced combat skills and capabilities they acquired during their training.

Honoring Outstanding Graduates

The ceremony concluded with a recognition segment for distinguished graduates. The event was attended by several military leaders, including Major General Ahmed Al-Absi, Deputy Chief of Training and Qualification, and Brigadier General Haidar Mahfal, Director of the Infantry Department. Their presence underscored the importance of the occasion and the commitment to military excellence.

This event marks a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of Yemen’s armed forces, ensuring they are well-prepared to face current and future challenges.
