President Alimi Bids Farewell to Mauritanian Ambassador

On Sunday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, welcomed the Mauritanian Ambassador to Yemen, Zain Al-Abidin Mohammed Walid Taleb. This meeting marked the conclusion of the ambassador’s term in Yemen and took place in the presence of Council member Major General Faraj Al-Bahsani.

Diplomatic Greetings and Well Wishes

During the meeting, Ambassador Walid Taleb conveyed greetings from his counterpart, President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani. He expressed wishes for good health and well-being for both President Alimi and the members of the council. Additionally, he extended hopes for peace and stability for the Yemeni people.

In response, President Alimi asked the ambassador to relay his greetings to President Ghazouani. He wished the Mauritanian leader continued health and happiness, along with prosperity for the Mauritanian people under his wise leadership.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

President Alimi praised the diplomatic efforts of Ambassador Walid Taleb in enhancing the distinguished bilateral relations between Yemen and Mauritania. He expressed his hopes for the ambassador’s success in his future endeavors.

The discussion also covered the potential for strengthening and developing bilateral relations across various levels. Both leaders explored ways to coordinate their positions regarding regional developments of mutual interest.

Acknowledging Shared Values

President Alimi highlighted the exceptional relationship between Yemen and Mauritania, emphasizing the supportive stance of the Mauritanian people alongside Yemen and its legitimate leadership. He reiterated Yemen’s aspirations to restore state institutions, security, stability, and peace.

The meeting also included Dr. Yahya Al-Shaibi, Director of the Presidential Office, who contributed to the discussions on enhancing cooperation between the two nations.

This engagement underscores the commitment of both countries to foster strong diplomatic ties and collaborate on shared goals for regional stability and prosperity.
