This site stands as a prominent cultural landmark honoring the bravery and sacrifices of the UAE’s martyrs for the pride and dignity of their homeland and their people, both domestically and abroad.
Upon arrival, President Alimi received a warm welcome from UAE Minister of Justice Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi and the UAE Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Hamad Al Zaabi. Their presence underscored the strong ties between Yemen and the UAE.
During his visit, President Alimi laid a wreath at the Martyr’s Monument within the Oasis of Dignity. He toured the various sections of the site, which spans 46,000 square meters. This architectural marvel attracts millions of visitors from around the world.
In the visitor’s book, President Alimi expressed profound gratitude and appreciation from the Yemeni leadership, government, and people to the martyrs of the United Arab Emirates. He acknowledged their sacrifices, which continue to support the Yemeni people in defending their national achievements and Arab identity, while also countering the Houthi militia’s Iranian-backed insurgency.
President Alimi highlighted the sacrifices of the Emirati armed forces, noting the recent martyrdom of Sergeant Mohammed Al-Khayali after years of injury sustained in the battles for dignity and pride. He emphasized that these noble acts of the UAE leadership will forever remain etched in Yemen’s national memory, adding to a rich legacy of giving inspired by the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
