The Chairman of the Leadership Council visits the UAE Martyrs’ Oasis to honor the nation’s heroes.

President Rashad Alimi Visits the Oasis of Dignity in Abu Dhabi

On Wednesday, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, visited the “Oasis of Dignity” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This site stands as a prominent cultural landmark honoring the bravery and sacrifices of the UAE’s martyrs for the pride and dignity of their homeland and their people, both domestically and abroad.

Warm Welcome from UAE Officials

Upon arrival, President Alimi received a warm welcome from UAE Minister of Justice Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi and the UAE Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Hamad Al Zaabi. Their presence underscored the strong ties between Yemen and the UAE.

A Tribute to the Martyrs

During his visit, President Alimi laid a wreath at the Martyr’s Monument within the Oasis of Dignity. He toured the various sections of the site, which spans 46,000 square meters. The oasis features not only the Martyr’s Monument but also the Honor Pavilion, the Pride Square, and a distinguished visitor center. This architectural marvel attracts millions of visitors from around the world.

Expressing Gratitude for UAE Sacrifices

In the visitor’s book, President Alimi expressed profound gratitude and appreciation from the Yemeni leadership, government, and people to the martyrs of the United Arab Emirates. He acknowledged their sacrifices, which continue to support the Yemeni people in defending their national achievements and Arab identity, while also countering the Houthi militia’s Iranian-backed insurgency.

Remembering Heroic Contributions

President Alimi highlighted the sacrifices of the Emirati armed forces, noting the recent martyrdom of Sergeant Mohammed Al-Khayali after years of injury sustained in the battles for dignity and pride. He emphasized that these noble acts of the UAE leadership will forever remain etched in Yemen’s national memory, adding to a rich legacy of giving inspired by the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

A Symbol of Shared Destiny

The President further stated that the Oasis of Dignity symbolizes the shared destiny between the Republic of Yemen and the United Arab Emirates. He acknowledged the enduring brotherly relations between the two nations, which have remained steadfast in the past, present, and will continue into the future.

This visit highlights the ongoing collaboration and mutual respect between Yemen and the UAE, reinforcing their commitment to shared values and collective security in the region.
