On Wednesday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with the leadership of the National Coalition of Political Parties and Components, led by Dr. Ahmed Obaid Bin Daghr. The meeting focused on the latest developments in national affairs and strategies to enhance the political forces’ response to current challenges. The discussions aimed to expand the coalition’s role in supporting state institutions and mobilizing the political and social front alongside the launch of the “Fajr Yemen” operation.
The meeting addressed mechanisms for transitioning political support for the state into an organized and effective action plan. This plan aims to strengthen the presence of political parties and components in the provinces, unify national efforts against the Houthi terrorist militias, boost the morale of citizens and fighters, enhance trust in state institutions, and maintain national cohesion during this critical phase.
During the meeting, the President welcomed the coalition’s leadership and members, praising the strategic political plan of the National Coalition of Political Parties and Components. He highlighted its vision for transitioning from general political support to organized political and community backing for state institutions.
President Alimi briefed the coalition leaders on the current military and political situation. He emphasized that the launch of the “Fajr Yemen” operation marks a new phase in the effort to restore state institutions and complete the liberation of remaining Yemeni territories, ultimately reaching the capital, Sana’a.
The President commended the bravery of the armed forces, security personnel, and all military formations and popular resistance across various fronts. He acknowledged the significant sacrifices made by martyrs, the wounded, and their families, asserting that these sacrifices will form the foundation for Yemen’s victory and the restoration of its state and institutions.
President Alimi stressed that the armed forces’ battle requires a cohesive political, social, and media front. This front must work through legitimate means to uplift citizens’ spirits, enhance trust in the state, counter misinformation, and prevent the militias from turning temporary military developments into political or psychological gains.
He urged political parties and components to activate their presence and branches in the provinces, strengthen their ties with local communities, address citizens’ issues, and maintain communication channels with their cadres and supporters in areas under militia control.
The President reiterated that the initiative for safe return and amnesty complements the path to restoring the state, reducing the war’s cost for Yemenis, and opening the door for those who abandon the militias to return to the state’s fold, provided they have not engaged in excluded crimes. He also emphasized the need to isolate militia leaders from the community, which they push their children into combat.
President Alimi expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for their steadfast support of the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the Yemeni people. He acknowledged their backing of the armed forces in the battle to restore state institutions and ensure security and stability.
In this context, he noted the Saudi Cabinet’s confirmation, under the leadership of the Crown Prince, of full support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the Yemeni people in ending the coup and restoring state institutions. The Cabinet also stated that the Houthi militias chose military escalation over peace and continued to threaten the region and navigation in the southern Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
President Alimi appreciated the King’s directives to address the situation of Yemenis in the Kingdom who are residing there unlawfully, providing them with necessary facilities. He viewed this as part of Saudi Arabia’s comprehensive support for Yemen and its people and institutions.
The President affirmed that military operations may experience progress on one front and temporary complications on another. However, the direction and objectives of the state remain unchanged: restoring Sana’a and establishing state control over all its territories.
He stated that the “Fajr Yemen” operation continues toward its goals, and the armed forces, security, and popular resistance will fulfill their duty until state institutions are restored and the country is fully liberated. He emphasized that political parties and components are essential partners in the political, social, and media fronts, and restoring the state is a shared national responsibility, not solely the task of the armed forces.
President Alimi acknowledged potential challenges but insisted that they would not deter the goal of restoring the state and its institutions, completing the liberation of the country, and paving the way for a just and lasting peace. He affirmed that “Fajr Yemen” is not just the name of a military operation but a promise that this war will end with a state, and Yemenis will reclaim their republic and desired future.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shaibi, Director of the Presidency Office, and Abdullah Abu Huriah, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Chairman of the Political Parties Committee.
