Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Basra, the Deputy Chief of Staff, emphasized the need to expedite the completion of public mobilization procedures. He called for the preparation of brigades and units according to the approved plans and directives. Al-Basra highlighted the importance of enhancing readiness, discipline, and coordination among various military bodies and unit leaders.
This statement came during a meeting he chaired today with the committee responsible for implementing the directives of His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The meeting focused on the public mobilization plan for members of the Ministry of Defense and the immediate preparation of military brigades and units.
The meeting included key figures such as Major General Mohammed Batis, Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources; Major General Musfer Al-Harithi, Deputy Inspector General; Major General Al-Khidr Qasim Al-Shaoui, Head of Human Forces Authority; Major General Mohammed Al-Shaari, Head of Training and Qualification Authority; and Major General Ali Al-Fadhli, Deputy Head of Logistics Support Authority, along with several brigade leaders. They discussed the necessary procedures and arrangements to implement the public mobilization plan, as well as the readiness levels of military units and their human, training, and logistical needs.
Lieutenant General Al-Basra stressed the necessity of identifying needs and completing the provision of essential requirements. This will enable units to perform their tasks and duties efficiently. He pointed out that the current phase demands intensified efforts and adherence to military instructions, along with an increase in readiness and preparedness. He also underscored the importance of continuous monitoring to ensure the implementation of approved measures, addressing shortcomings, and accelerating the completion of mobilization and preparation procedures.
