On Friday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a phone call with Abdulrahman Sheikh, the Minister of State and Governor of Aden. During this conversation, President Alimi received preliminary information regarding a shooting incident near the governor’s residence, which resulted in several casualties and injuries.
President Alimi listened attentively as Governor Sheikh provided an overview of the security measures implemented immediately following the incident. The governor detailed the swift response of security forces to contain the situation, pursue the perpetrator, and address the immediate threats.
The President praised the local authority’s leadership for their rapid response to the evolving situation in the governorate. He highlighted the high readiness demonstrated by all security units and agencies, commending their courage and discipline in fulfilling their duties.
