President Rashad Alimi Welcomes UAE Ambassador to Yemen

On Monday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, received the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Hamad Al Zaabi. This meeting highlighted the strong ties between Yemen and the UAE, emphasizing mutual support and cooperation.

Greetings from the UAE Leadership

During the meeting, Ambassador Al Zaabi conveyed warm greetings from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. He expressed wishes for President Alimi’s health and happiness, as well as for peace, security, and stability for the Yemeni people.

In response, President Alimi asked Ambassador Al Zaabi to relay his greetings and those of the Council members to the UAE leadership. He wished the Emirati people continued progress and prosperity under their wise leadership.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

The discussion also focused on the bilateral relations between Yemen and the UAE. Both leaders explored avenues for enhancing and developing these ties across various levels. They acknowledged the importance of collaboration in addressing shared challenges and fostering growth.

Addressing National Developments

The meeting further addressed the current national situation in Yemen. President Alimi emphasized the need for regional and international support to improve living conditions for the Yemeni people. He highlighted the aspirations for restoring state institutions, achieving security and stability, and promoting development.

Acknowledging UAE’s Support

President Alimi praised the distinguished bilateral relations between Yemen and the UAE. He recognized the UAE’s active role in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, noting its economic, humanitarian, and developmental interventions across various sectors.

Dr. Yahya Al Shaibi, Director of the Presidential Office, attended the meeting, underscoring the importance of this diplomatic engagement.

This meeting marks another step in strengthening the partnership between Yemen and the UAE, aiming for a brighter future for both nations.
