The Republic of Yemen actively participated in the ICAO FALC 2025 Conference today. This event, organized by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), carries the theme “Facilitating the Future of Air Transport: Cooperation, Efficiency, and Inclusivity.” The Yemeni delegation is led by Minister of Transport Dr. Abdul Salam Hamid.
The four-day conference gathers over 120 ministers and heads of aviation authorities from around the globe. Additionally, it includes experts and leaders from the civil aviation sector representing 190 countries. Participants will discuss critical issues such as collaboration among stakeholders, customs clearance procedures, air cargo, travel document safety, border control, combating human trafficking and illegal migration, and providing assistance to aviation accident victims and their families.
Minister Hamid will participate in a high-level ministerial meeting, where he is scheduled to deliver Yemen’s address on the fourth day of the conference. This meeting aims to enhance air transport facilitation and adopt the Doha Declaration.
Minister Hamid emphasized the Yemeni government’s commitment to participating in such conferences to strengthen ties with ICAO and relevant authorities. He highlighted Yemen’s readiness to develop air navigation and enhance safety measures in accordance with global standards.
The conference also features the presence of Captain Saleh bin Naheed, the head of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, and Amer Khan, the Director General of Air Transport. Their participation underscores Yemen’s dedication to advancing its civil aviation sector on the international stage.
