President Alimi Engages with Leadership on Security and Humanitarian Issues

On Sunday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, conducted communications with members of the Presidential Leadership Council. He spoke with Lieutenant General Sultan Al-Arada, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Sabihi, Salem Al-Khanbashi, Prime Minister Dr. Sha’if Al-Zandani, Commander of the Fourth Military Region Major General Hamdi Shukri, several governors, and military leaders. The discussions focused on the latest developments in the field, security, service, and humanitarian conditions, as well as the state institutions’ responses to the repercussions of the Houthi terrorist escalation.

Updates on Military Operations

During these communications, President Alimi received briefings on the progress of operations across various fronts and sectors. He assessed the combat readiness, operational support, and logistics for the armed forces and security, along with all military formations. The discussions also covered security, service, and humanitarian conditions, including measures taken to protect civilians and displaced persons who have fled from Houthi militias backed by the Iranian regime.

Acknowledgment of Armed Forces’ Efforts

President Alimi praised the heroes of the armed forces and security, as well as all military formations stationed at various fronts. He commended their bravery and sacrifices in the critical battle against the Houthi terrorist militias. He specifically highlighted the effective role of the air force and drone operations, which support ground forces, deter threats, and target the military capabilities of the militias according to established engagement rules and professional standards.

Commitment to National Goals

The President expressed appreciation for the operations carried out by the armed forces in Marib, Al-Jawf, Taiz, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhale, and other fronts. These efforts aim to restore state institutions, end the Houthi terrorist coup, and fulfill the Yemeni people’s aspirations for security, stability, and development. He emphasized that the course of major national battles does not depend on temporary changes in confrontation lines or gains in specific areas. Instead, it relies on the strength of will, unity of purpose and decision, and the ability to learn from challenges and turn them into opportunities for building greater strength and cohesion.

Clear Direction for State Sovereignty

President Alimi affirmed that the state’s compass remains clear and steadfast towards restoring its institutions and asserting sovereignty over all national territory. He stated that any temporary field developments would not alter this truth or diminish the Yemeni people’s and their armed forces’ ability to accomplish this mission with resilience and competence. He noted that the Houthi militias seem not to have learned from their lesson of overthrowing national consensus and the will of the Yemenis. They mistakenly believed that power and weapons could create a lasting reality through force before the state and its national forces rose to defeat their racist project from Aden and other cities.

Local Authorities’ Role in Humanitarian Efforts

President Alimi commended the responsible role of local authorities in the liberated provinces. He acknowledged their efforts, in collaboration with local communities, to receive and shelter families displaced from conflict areas and provide them with essential needs. He emphasized that the solidarity and support shown by citizens towards their displaced brothers reflect the authentic values of the Yemeni people and the spirit of national solidarity in facing adversities and challenges.

Continued Support for Displaced Persons

The President directed the government and local authorities to continue enhancing these efforts and coordinate responses with humanitarian organizations and regional and international partners. This coordination aims to ensure dignified care and protection for the displaced and alleviate their suffering until they can safely return to their areas.

President Alimi stressed that a responsible state should not only manage a military battle but also fulfill its constitutional obligations to protect citizens, maintain security and stability, and ensure the continuity of state institutions and essential services. He urged the government and local authorities to double their efforts to ensure the regular provision of services, pay state employees’ salaries, secure citizens’ basic needs, and enhance humanitarian responses for the displaced and those affected by the Houthi escalation.
