The Chairman of the Leadership Council has issued several appointment decisions within the military institution.

Leadership Changes Announced in Military Appointments

Today, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, who also serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, issued several significant appointments within the military. These changes aim to strengthen the leadership structure and enhance operational effectiveness.

New Appointments in Military Leadership

The first decree, numbered (346), appoints Major General Saleh Mohammed Timis as an advisor to the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. This position underscores the importance of strategic guidance in military operations.

In a second decree, numbered (349) for the year 2024, Brigadier General Mohammed Salmeen Awad Batis received a promotion to the rank of Major General. He will serve as the Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources. This role is crucial for overseeing personnel management within the armed forces.

Key Promotions and Command Assignments

The third decree, numbered (333) for 2024, designates Brigadier General Saleh Mohammed Abdul-Rab Al-Jaimlani as the Commander of the First Military Region and the 37th Armored Brigade. His promotion to Major General reflects the trust placed in him to lead critical military operations.

Additionally, decree (348) for 2024 appoints Brigadier General Ali Hatim Ahmed Abdullah as an advisor to the Minister of Defense for Training and Educational Institutions. This position emphasizes the focus on developing military training programs.

In decree (347) for 2024, Brigadier General Yahya Ali Abu Aujah will serve as an advisor to the Minister of Defense. His experience will contribute to the strategic direction of the ministry.

The sixth decree, numbered (334) for 2024, promotes Colonel Ali Yahya Al-Adab’i to Brigadier General and appoints him as the Commander of the 135th Infantry Brigade. This leadership role is vital for maintaining troop readiness and effectiveness.

Implementation of the New Appointments

All these appointments will take effect immediately upon their announcement. The second article of these decrees mandates their publication in the official gazette and military bulletins, ensuring transparency and awareness within the armed forces.

These strategic appointments reflect the ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of the military leadership and ensure effective governance within the armed forces.
