ADEN, Yemen – Today, Major General Abdul Nasser Sabira, the Deputy Minister of Defense for Logistics, along with Major General Mohammed Batis, the Deputy Minister of Defense for Human Resources, conducted an inspection of the medical readiness and health services at Aboud Military Hospital in the temporary capital, Aden.
During the visit, Major General Sabira received a detailed briefing from Major General Saif Al-Jahafi, the Director of the Military Medical Services Department. The briefing covered the hospital’s medical performance, treatment services, and the technical and medical readiness of the facility. Additionally, they discussed the hospital’s needs for personnel, equipment, and medical supplies, all aimed at enhancing healthcare for military personnel and their families.
Major General Sabira emphasized the importance of strengthening medical readiness at the hospital. He highlighted the need to develop health and treatment services to meet the requirements of armed forces members. He praised the efforts of the Medical Services Department and the dedicated staff working at the hospital.
The Deputy Minister noted that the Ministry of Defense prioritizes the military medical sector. The leadership aims to provide the necessary resources to improve medical services and address challenges that hinder operational efficiency. He urged the hospital management and medical staff to intensify their efforts, adhere to established regulations, and enhance service quality for patients. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of optimizing available resources and maintaining medical equipment.
This inspection underscores the Ministry of Defense’s commitment to improving healthcare services for military personnel in Yemen. By addressing the needs of Aboud Military Hospital, the ministry aims to ensure that service members and their families receive the highest quality of care.
