On Tuesday, Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Dhaeri conducted a field visit to the Abyan operational axis in the Jihin area of the Lawdar district. This visit aimed to assess the combat and technical readiness of military units as part of his ongoing inspections of various regions and fronts.

Warm Welcome from Local Leaders

Upon arrival, Al-Dhaeri received a warm welcome from Abyan Governor Major General Abu Bakr Hussein and the commander of the axis, Major General Sand Al-Rahwa. Several prominent military leaders also attended the event. During the visit, attendees witnessed an impressive military display showcasing the combat readiness of symbolic units from the axis.

Acknowledging National Achievements

During his visit, the Defense Minister conveyed greetings from the political leadership, represented by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi. He highlighted the significance of the 63rd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution and the 62nd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution. Al-Dhaeri praised the high level of discipline and readiness demonstrated by the operational axis.

Emphasizing Vigilance and Training

Al-Dhaeri stressed the importance of enhancing vigilance, training, and preparedness to confront Houthi militias and terrorist organizations. He underscored the need to intensify efforts to combat smuggling and secure main roads, emphasizing their direct impact on citizens’ lives and public services.

The commander of the Abyan axis expressed gratitude to the Defense Minister and his accompanying delegation. He assured that the forces stand ready to undertake any assigned missions to protect the nation and restore its institutions.
