Surgical operations commence at Aden’s charity hospital medical camp.

Aden Hospital Launches Free Medical Camp Surgeries

Aden Cooperative Charity Hospital’s medical team began performing surgeries on Sunday for patients enrolled in the free medical camp. The first day saw the successful completion of 22 diverse surgical operations, including tonsillectomies, appendectomies, thyroidectomies, and the removal of benign tumors of various sizes.

Aiming for 200 Surgeries

Fahd Al-Buri, the Chairman of the Gulf and Aden Development and Humanitarian Services Authority, highlighted the camp’s objective to conduct 200 surgical procedures. He noted the significant turnout during the initial registration days, with all participants belonging to the low-income bracket. Al-Buri also mentioned the plan to organize more free medical camps soon due to the overwhelming response.

Presidential Council Member’s Crucial Support

Al-Buri praised the efforts and support of Abdulrahman Al-Muharrami, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, whose pivotal role was instrumental in the medical camp’s success.

Highlighting Humanitarian Efforts

Dr. Majid Aatif, the medical director at Aden Cooperative Charity Hospital and a general surgery consultant, stressed the importance of such noble humanitarian acts that serve a broad segment of society. He pointed to the successful surgeries carried out on the first day, underscoring the camp’s initial success.

This initiative not only demonstrates the hospital’s commitment to providing essential healthcare services to those in need but also reflects the broader community and leadership support for humanitarian projects. The success of the first day sets a positive tone for the remainder of the camp, with hopes high for the completion of the targeted 200 surgeries.
