Yemenia, the national airline of Yemen, officially launched its new route between Aden and Dammam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday, offering two flights per week.
Following the launch, Captain Nasser Mahmoud, Chairman of Yemenia, stated that this new route results from the efforts of the airline’s leadership and employees. The initiative aims to serve Yemeni expatriates in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and provide direct travel options for passengers from Yemen and neighboring countries. The inaugural flight to King Fahd International Airport carried 148 passengers, while the return flight to Aden departed with 90 passengers.
Captain Mahmoud expressed gratitude for the facilities and support provided by the leadership of Saudi Arabia to the people of Yemen across various sectors.
Abdullah Al-Shaari, Deputy General Manager for Commercial Affairs, confirmed that the airline will continue to expand its network of destinations and enhance services for travelers, despite operational challenges.
