Yemen’s Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, commended the security forces in Aden and Abyan for their prompt actions following a recent terrorist attack that targeted Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Shaer. This recognition highlights the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to reinforcing national security and enhancing overall stability across the country.
In a recent phone call with the directors of security and police in both provinces, Minister Haidan stressed the necessity of maintaining a rigorous pace in the ongoing investigations. He urged the teams to continue gathering evidence and to thoroughly uncover the circumstances surrounding the attack. His emphasis on a proactive approach included a strong directive to apprehend those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice. Furthermore, Haidan called for improved coordination between the security forces of Aden and Abyan, aiming to create a more united front against criminal activities.
During his remarks, Minister Haidan pointed out that the assault on Dr. Al-Shaer was an attempt to disrupt the recent security stability in Aden. However, he expressed confidence in the capability of the security forces to confront and overcome such challenges, thereby restoring peace to the region. Additionally, Haidan acknowledged the vital support received from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various sectors, including political, economic, military, and security initiatives. He assured the public that the Ministry would not tolerate criminal activities and would actively pursue offenders, ensuring they face appropriate legal consequences. These measures are designed to bolster security and protect the safety of citizens.
