A recent armed ambush in Al-Bayda Province has resulted in the death of one individual and left another injured. This incident underscores the escalating local conflicts in areas controlled by the Houthi militia, revealing the persistent instability in the region.
In a video statement, Sadiq Mohammed Al-Mansouri recounted his harrowing experience of encountering an ambush while traveling on the main road between Al-Sailah and the Abas area in the Al-Sharijah district. He was returning from Al-Malajim when the attack occurred. Although Al-Mansouri survived the incident, it was tragically reported that Mohammed Nasser Al-Sayyad was killed, and another individual sustained injuries, whose identity remains undisclosed.
Initial reports suggest that the ambush may be connected to an ongoing tribal dispute between the Al-Mansouri and Al-Tarbous families. However, the identities of the assailants have not yet been confirmed, leaving room for speculation regarding the motives behind this violent act.
The Rad’a district has recently experienced a surge in armed conflicts and revenge-related incidents. Many locals accuse the Houthi militia of exacerbating these tensions in an effort to weaken tribal structures and divert growing public discontent against their rule. This incident highlights the urgent need for conflict resolution and stability in the region, as local communities continue to grapple with violence and insecurity.
