The Saudi Ministry of Energy announced today that it has successfully restored full pumping capacity through the East-West pipeline, which now operates at approximately seven million barrels per day. Additionally, production levels at the Al-Munifa field have recovered, reaching around 300,000 barrels per day.
In a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry referred to its prior announcement on April 9, 2026, which detailed the impact of targeted attacks on several energy facilities within the Kingdom. These disruptions resulted in a loss of approximately 700,000 barrels per day in pumping capacity through the East-West pipeline, alongside a decrease in production from the Al-Munifa field by around 300,000 barrels per day. Furthermore, the Khurais field also experienced a production decline of approximately 300,000 barrels per day.
The ministry emphasized that while operations at the Khurais field are ongoing, efforts to restore its full production capacity are still underway. An update will be provided once these efforts are complete.
The Saudi Ministry of Energy highlighted that this rapid recovery is a testament to the operational resilience and crisis management efficiency of Saudi Aramco and the Kingdom’s energy sector. This capability not only enhances the reliability of supply for local and global markets but also supports the global economy.
In conclusion, the swift restoration of energy operations underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to maintaining stable energy supplies despite recent challenges.
