Governor of Dhamar, Major General Ali Al-Qousi, emphasized the importance of unifying media and political efforts. He urged the mobilization of resources and the integration of national roles to support the “Dawn of Yemen” campaign, which aims to restore state institutions and end the Houthi militia’s insurgency backed by the Iranian regime.
This statement came during the inauguration of a large meeting for journalists and politicians organized by the Media Office of the province. Al-Qousi praised the resilience of the armed forces and popular resistance, particularly the people of Taiz, in facing the siege imposed by the Houthi militia and defending their land and dignity.
The governor also acknowledged the positions of Marib province and its residents in defending the republic and state institutions. He commended their sacrifices over the past years and appreciated the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting Yemen and backing constitutional legitimacy. Furthermore, he condemned the Houthi militia’s attacks on the Kingdom and Islamic sanctities.
In his remarks, Ahmed Rabi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, stated that the current phase imposes a heightened responsibility on journalists and politicians. He called for directing public discourse towards the objectives of the national campaign and linking media messages to verified facts and information. This approach aims to enhance community awareness and support efforts to restore state institutions.
Rabi outlined the Ministry of Information’s directives for the current phase. He stressed the necessity of adhering to a professional code of conduct, avoiding misinformation, and distinguishing between responsible journalism and narratives that distract from priorities or weaken national unity.
For his part, Nasser Al-Jamrah, Director General of the Media Office in Dhamar, explained that the meeting discussed priorities for media and political work in the upcoming phase. The participants focused on mechanisms for joint coordination to support the national campaign and enhance the visibility of Dhamar’s issues in media and political discourse.
