Saudi Arabia has reiterated its commitment to supporting President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the Yemeni government. This support aims to foster security, stability, development, and peace, aligning with the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
During a recent session of the UN Security Council focused on Yemen’s humanitarian, political, and security situations, Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, delivered a significant address. He expressed the Kingdom’s concerns regarding the actions of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), which has conducted military operations along Saudi Arabia’s southern borders in the Hadhramaut and Al-Mahrah governorates. These actions pose a threat to Saudi national security and the overall stability of Yemen and the region.
Ambassador Al-Wasil highlighted Saudi Arabia’s response to President Alimi’s request for a comprehensive conference in Riyadh. This conference aims to bring together all southern factions for dialogue and to explore equitable solutions to the southern issue. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among all Yemeni forces and components, urging collective efforts to achieve a lasting resolution that ensures security and stability in Yemen.
Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support for Yemen’s leadership underscores its commitment to regional stability and peace. The Kingdom continues to advocate for dialogue and cooperation among Yemeni factions, aiming for a brighter future for the Yemeni people.
