Houthi Violations in Al-Bayda: A Call for Accountability

Prime Minister’s Strong Condemnation

Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the Prime Minister of Yemen, condemned the systematic crimes and violations committed by the Houthi militia against the people of Al-Bayda province. He emphasized that these actions reflect the terrorist nature of the militia and its oppressive, clerical approach to governance.

Commitment to Documenting Crimes

During a meeting in the temporary capital of Aden on Monday, Prime Minister bin Mubarak pledged to take all necessary measures to document the crimes perpetrated by the Houthi militia in Al-Bayda and across the nation. He stressed the importance of ensuring that those responsible do not escape accountability, both nationally and internationally.

Meeting with Al-Bayda Governor

The Prime Minister’s remarks came during a meeting with Al-Bayda Governor, Major General Nasser Al-Sawadi. The governor provided an update on the conditions of civilians in the province and detailed the crimes and violations inflicted upon them by the Houthi militia. These actions represent a desperate attempt to undermine the will of the people in Al-Bayda.

Government’s Ongoing Support for Armed Forces

Prime Minister bin Mubarak reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the armed forces and popular resistance in their efforts to confront Houthi violations and protect civilians. He called for a united front to liberate the remaining provinces from the grip of these terrorist militias.

Advisors Present at the Meeting

The meeting also included the presence of the Prime Minister’s advisor, Ambassador Mujib Othman, who contributed to the discussions surrounding the urgent need for action against Houthi aggression.

The Yemeni government remains resolute in its fight against the Houthi militia’s violations. By documenting these crimes and supporting the armed forces, the government aims to restore peace and security to Al-Bayda and other affected provinces.
