President Alimi Meets with the Consultation and Reconciliation Committee
On Thursday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, convened with Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, the head of the Consultation and Reconciliation Committee. This meeting was aimed at analyzing the ongoing political developments in Yemen and is part of broader initiatives to bolster national consensus in the face of considerable challenges confronting the nation.
Strengthening National Consensus and Restoring State Institutions
During the meeting, President Alimi received a comprehensive update on the activities of the Consultation and Reconciliation Committee over the preceding period. Discussions focused on the committee’s efforts to cultivate broad national consensus and address the collective aspirations for restoring state institutions, as well as advancing peace and stability within Yemen. The President underscored the committee’s essential role in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and ensuring internal cohesion among various political factions.
National Partnership and the Role of Saudi Arabia
President Alimi emphasized the necessity of transforming relationships among national components and forces from competition to collaborative partnerships, ensuring that no group feels marginalized. He articulated that any consensus initiative lacking in the restoration of state institutions would ultimately be insufficient in achieving its objectives.
