The national football team is set to compete against Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Wednesday, at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium. This match marks the second round of Group B in the 26th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup, hosted by Kuwait.
In preparation for this crucial match, the players engaged in two training sessions at Al-Shabab Club Stadium. The first session took place just 24 hours after their opening match. During this initial practice, the focus remained on recovery and light training. Meanwhile, Tuesday’s session aimed to finalize strategies and provide last-minute instructions from the coaching staff.
During a press conference held today, head coach Nourredine Ould Ali emphasized the team’s commitment to achieving a positive result. He called on fans to support and rally behind the players.
Reflecting on the previous match, where the team suffered a narrow defeat to the reigning champions, Ould Ali noted that the squad performed defensively within their capabilities. He acknowledged that the loss resulted from a critical error that cost the team the game.
Ould Ali highlighted the formidable nature of the Saudi Arabian team, which ranks among the best in Asia and consistently competes for World Cup qualification. Despite the challenges, he expressed optimism about the current squad’s potential.
As the national team gears up for this important encounter, fans eagerly await the outcome, hoping for a turnaround following their earlier setback.
