Recent reports indicate a surge in violence against Palestinians in various areas of the occupied West Bank. Israeli forces and settlers have conducted widespread arrests, raids, and assaults on homes and properties, raising concerns among local communities.
Israeli forces arrested several Palestinians across multiple governorates, including Tubas, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Tulkarem, Jerusalem, and Qalqilya. The arrests included:
Additionally, Israeli forces raided the towns of Dar Salah, Al-Aybidiyya, Al-Shawawra, Za’tara, and Hirmla east of Bethlehem, detaining a journalist in the process.
Israeli forces invaded the Al-Far’a refugee camp, searching homes and launching sound bombs and tear gas canisters at residences in Lubban Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus. They also issued demolition orders for three tourist facilities in Arana, east of Jenin.
In Tubas, settlers attacked a water pipeline serving 12 families in the Yirza and Al-Ras Al-Ahmar areas. Meanwhile, Israeli forces and settlers established new structures near the road leading to Khirbat Yirza, raising fears of a new settlement outpost.
Israeli forces have bulldozed agricultural land in Beit Eskaria, south of Bethlehem, to expand the Gush Etzion settlement. Settlers also assaulted a vehicle belonging to a citizen from Deir Debwan, east of Ramallah. Furthermore, Israeli forces demolished part of a school in Masafar Yatta, south of Hebron.
Cities, towns, and refugee camps in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem are experiencing daily raids and incursions. These operations often lead to confrontations, arrests, and the use of live and rubber bullets, along with tear gas against Palestinians. The ongoing escalation highlights the increasing violence against civilians and infrastructure.
