Lahij, Yemen – Engineer Hussein Al-Aqrobi, the Minister of Public Works and Roads, alongside Governor Murad Al-Halimi, conducted an on-site inspection today of a significant road paving project designed to connect rural and urban areas within Lahij Governorate.
During their visit to the Martyr Abu Al-Yamama road project, the officials were accompanied by Sami Bahramz, the Deputy Chairman of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund. They assessed the ongoing work and the overall progress of the project, which spans multiple regions in the Yahr district of Yafi. This initiative is funded and overseen by the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, highlighting the collaborative effort to improve infrastructure in the area.
Minister Al-Aqrobi emphasized the transformative impact of this project on the lives of the people in Yafi and Lahij. He underscored its critical role in facilitating the movement of citizens and connecting remote villages. Additionally, the project is aimed at boosting economic and commercial activities while alleviating the challenges faced by residents, particularly those in rugged mountainous regions.
The minister also praised the significant contributions made by the community, including local business leaders, towards the project’s success. He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to completing essential projects that address citizens’ needs and enhance infrastructure throughout various governorates.
In response, Governor Al-Halimi expressed his gratitude for the progress made on the project. He acknowledged the efforts of the Ministry of Public Works and the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, as well as the robust support from the community.
