This inspection is a part of ongoing governmental efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region.
During the visit, the ministers received a comprehensive briefing from Colonel Bassam Al-Najjar, the commander of the port protection battalion. The briefing outlined the battalion’s key responsibilities and highlighted its accomplishments in ensuring the security of the port, while maintaining operational readiness at both military and civilian access points.
The ministers also reviewed the procedures in place for facilitating the pilgrimage of Hajj pilgrims. Colonel Abdullah Bin Saif, director of the immigration and passport branch, provided insights into the mechanisms designed to streamline the crossing process, reflecting the commitment to ensure security and efficient service for travelers entering and exiting through the port.
In a show of support, the ministers conveyed greetings from His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, to the leaders, officers, and personnel stationed at Al-Wadi’a. They underscored that this visit reaffirms the political leadership’s commitment to both the armed forces and security personnel, recognizing their national contributions and addressing the challenges they face.
Furthermore, they stressed the importance of maintaining high levels of readiness and discipline among the forces, urging a spirit of national responsibility that is crucial for safeguarding vital state interests and border crossings.
