The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has issued a weather report for Thursday, predicting varied conditions across different regions.
In coastal areas and nearby regions, expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Daytime temperatures will be hot and humid, while nights will feel moderate. Winds will range from moderate to active along the eastern, southern, and western coasts. Notably, the winds will be strong in the Socotra Archipelago, with speeds reaching between 25 to 35 knots.
The forecast indicates that mountainous areas will experience partly cloudy skies. There is a possibility of scattered rain showers accompanied by thunder in parts of the western and southwestern highlands. In desert and plateau regions, conditions will remain clear but dusty, with daytime temperatures ranging from hot to extremely hot. Nights will be moderate, and winds will stir up dust and sand.

The center warns citizens in desert and coastal regions about the high temperatures and direct sun exposure. In its daily marine bulletin, the center forecasts that sea conditions along the western coasts will be calm. The Bab al-Mandab area will see light to moderate waves, while the coasts of Shabwa, Abyan, and Aden will experience moderate waves. The waters off Al-Mahra and Hadhramaut will be rough, and the Socotra Archipelago will face turbulent to very rough seas.
The center also advises fishermen and maritime travelers around the Socotra Archipelago, the Arabian Sea, and the eastern and southern coasts to exercise caution due to rough seas and strong winds.
