In a meeting held today in the temporary capital of Aden, Local Administration Minister Hussein Al-Aghbari outlined the necessary arrangements and priorities for the upcoming reciprocal visit program between Yemen and Egypt. This program is scheduled to take place next week in Egypt.
The meeting included Deputy Minister of Local Administration, Maeen Mahmoud, along with several ministry leaders. Minister Al-Aghbari praised the team’s readiness to participate in the program. He emphasized the importance of defining key topics and main sessions that will focus on decentralization, local governance, community participation, and the management and development of local revenues and economic development councils.
Minister Al-Aghbari highlighted the critical opportunity this program presents for the participating team from the ministry and various governorates. The team will gain insights into developmental and economic experiences from several Egyptian governorates. This exchange aims to enhance the efficiency of local authorities in Yemen, extract valuable lessons, and ultimately improve services.
