The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s weather prediction center has issued a forecast for Thursday, indicating partially cloudy and mild temperatures in coastal areas. There is a possibility of scattered rain in parts of the eastern and southern coasts, as well as in the adjacent highlands and the Socotra Archipelago.
The center reports that winds will remain light to moderate along the eastern and southern coasts. However, stronger winds are expected to develop along the southern western coasts and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
In the mountainous regions, the forecast predicts clear skies and significantly cold temperatures during the night and early morning. This is particularly true for the western highlands, Lahij, Taiz, and Abyan, where frost formation may occur. The southern highlands and interior plateaus will experience very cold weather.
In desert and plateau areas, expect clear and moderate weather during the day, transitioning to cold temperatures at night. Moderate winds may occasionally intensify.

The center warns citizens, especially the elderly and children, about the significant drop in nighttime temperatures. It urges everyone to take necessary precautions. Farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers should also be aware of the potential for frost formation.
The forecast predicts light wave conditions along the coasts of Al-Mahrah, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and Socotra. Moderate waves are expected along the western coasts and the Red Sea. The center advises sea-goers and fishermen to be cautious of rough seas and strong winds in the western coastal areas.
