Meteorological authorities warn of weather fluctuations, issuing alerts for citizens and fishermen.

Weather Forecast for Coastal and Mountain Regions

The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has predicted that coastal areas will experience mild to relatively warm weather today, Wednesday. The skies will remain clear to partly cloudy, with active winds reaching strong gusts along the southern and western coasts.

Mountain and Desert Conditions

According to the center’s daily bulletin, the mountainous regions will face cold and dry conditions during the night and morning. There is a possibility of fog formation and varying intensity thunderstorms in parts of the western slopes. Meanwhile, desert and plateau areas will remain dry, with partly cloudy skies and relatively warm temperatures. Winds in these regions may stir up dust.

Expected Temperatures

The forecasted temperatures for various regions are as follows:

  • Coastal Areas: Aden (31°C/26°C), Mukalla (31°C/23°C), Al Hudaydah (32°C/26°C).
  • Desert Areas: Sayun (34°C/16°C), Marib (33°C/16°C), Ataq (32°C/18°C).
  • Mountainous Areas: Sana’a (27°C/08°C), Taiz (29°C/15°C), Ibb (27°C/13°C).

Warnings for Residents

The center has issued warnings to residents in areas expecting rainfall about the risks associated with thunderstorms and flash floods. It also advised those living in mountainous and southern coastal regions to exercise caution due to potential fog and strong winds that may cause dust storms.

Marine Conditions

Regarding marine conditions, the center forecasts light waves in the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden. However, the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab coasts will experience rough seas. Fishermen should remain vigilant due to strong winds and rising water levels.

Safety Alerts

The following safety alerts have been issued:

  1. Avoid riverbeds in mountainous areas.
  2. Exercise caution due to fog that may reduce visibility.
  3. Avoid sailing along the southern and western coasts because of strong winds.

Stay informed about the weather conditions and take necessary precautions to ensure your safety.
