Meeting in Aden discusses logistics for transporting Yemeni pilgrims for the 1446 AH season.

Coordination Meeting for Hajj Transportation in Yemen

On Tuesday, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Rabash, the Deputy Minister of Awqaf and Guidance for the Hajj and Umrah sector, met with Faris Shaafal, the Head of the Land Transport Authority. They discussed strategies for coordinating the transportation of Yemeni pilgrims for the upcoming Hajj season of 1446 AH.

Addressing Previous Challenges

The meeting took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in the temporary capital, Aden. Participants reviewed the significant challenges faced during the last Umrah season. They explored effective solutions to enhance the quality of services provided to Yemeni pilgrims, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Ministry of Awqaf and relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia.

Planning for Future Workshops

The meeting included the presence of the Ministry’s two assistant undersecretaries, Munir Dabwaan for Organizational Affairs and Aref Al-Barkani for Hajj and Umrah Services, along with Abdul Karim Al-Sheikh, the Director General of Hajj and Umrah. They agreed to organize workshops within the next two days between the Ministry and the Land Transport Authority. These workshops aim to address the discussed topics and tackle potential issues for the 1446 AH Hajj season, striving to achieve the highest quality standards.

Commitment to Quality and Safety

Dr. Al-Rabash emphasized the importance of strengthening joint coordination and integrating roles between the Ministry and the Authority. He highlighted the need for modern transportation means to ensure the comfort and safety of the pilgrims. He reiterated the Ministry’s commitment, under the leadership of Minister Dr. Mohammed Shabeeb, to provide the best services for the pilgrims.

Support from the Land Transport Authority

In response, Faris Shaafal expressed the Authority’s readiness to offer all necessary technical resources to ensure the successful transportation of pilgrims this season. This collaboration aims to enhance the overall experience for Yemeni pilgrims during their sacred journey.
