Minister Discusses Educational Development with University of Aden Leadership

ADEN, Yemen – Today, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, the Minister of State and Governor of Aden, met with Dr. Khader Nasser Lsour, President of the University of Aden. The two discussed strategies for enhancing coordination between the government and the university aimed at improving the quality of educational and administrative processes. They emphasized the importance of utilizing skills, expertise, and innovative ideas to support the region’s development and growth.

Challenges Facing Educational Institutions

During the meeting, which included several deans and directors from various university departments, participants addressed the current conditions of the university’s colleges and centers. They highlighted the challenges these institutions face and identified the necessary projects that could elevate academic education in the region.

Lamlas emphasized the significance of university outputs in advancing national progress. He praised the University of Aden for its enlightening role since its establishment, noting that it serves as a reflection of the province’s rich cultural and historical heritage, as well as its political and intellectual diversity. In response, Dr. Lsour expressed the university’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with local authorities. He affirmed that the University of Aden will continue to support the local government as a consulting center, dedicated to providing strategic studies aimed at enhancing public service levels in the temporary capital of Aden.
